The Insecure Writer's Support Group Rides Again!

Hi all! This will be short as I'm in Labrador and can't sign in on my partner's laptop so am forced to write on my android. Not good.

As to my writing life I am working on another Nell Munro mystery with the working title Red Bay. I'm using the support of NaNoWriMo (national novel writing month) to get a good chunk done. As this one is also set in Labrador it is great to be here looking across the bay to the exquisite Mealy Mountains.

An aside - The Crooked Knife began in the 2015 NaNoWriMo.  Here is the first peek at the cover.

As to this month's question- really!? Titles are easy for me. Naming things is my jam. Just very short poems to me. Blurbs? Not so much. But I have noticed that if you are a pantser writing your blurb midway is a good way to sneak a little plotting in.

Hope all are doing well!

Sorry for very short post...

Hi,
One of my horrors is going on vacation and living in a hotel that doesn't have internet. I think I would flip out.
Take care.

That is a great cover! I can't wait to read the book, Jan! I'm happy to hear you're working on a new mystery, too. There's something about NaNo that spurs one on, I think...

Jan, now I have to look up 'pantser.' And good lord, just getting that word to stay the way I thumbed it on this darn phone was frustrating-- writing anything substantial using your phone must be excruciating! -Kate (Stubblejumpers Cafe)

Actually, I find a short unplugged holiday refreshing--as long as I'm not facing a deadline. Love that Crooked Knife cover. I wish you happy writing in November.

The cover of your book is striking, Jan! Lucky you in Labrador. I was in Red Bay 10 years ago, and I was captured by its beauty ~ not so much its black flies ~ LOL! Let me know when you book comes out, because I will buy it!
