In the final stretch

I'm in the final stretch of the revision process. I have my mentor's notes back and I'm feeling strong. I started last night and I have a plan. I might take a day or two off this week and then in 2 weeks do the same. I'd like to have it ready to send out by April 1st.

I am remembering the I Ching trigram 64 (oh! My age!) It reminds us that we are to be careful before completion and tells the story of the old fox crossing the ice and how it uses all its senses to be wary of ice cracking. A young fox will sometimes hurry near the end, anxious to reach the shore and so might get its tail wet and have wasted its earlier effort.

How are you all doing with your various endeavors?  I wish you pluck.

So glad to hear you're making such progress, Jan! Isn't it a great feeling? You're wise to take it step by step though... Oh, and I love that 'photo!

That final stage is my favorite of all. I just finished it with my current book due to come out next month, and now I'm starting another which is my least favorite part of writing. It's so difficult to go from "polished manuscript" to "rough draft piece of garbage" manuscript.
