The Rock Walker

I'm getting there, I'm getting there! I'm on page 174 - just 130 to go...
and it's fine. I am liking this process of reading each chapter out loud although it was shocking today because my writing pal,Gwen, came as she does most Tuesdays. She didn't last week because she was facilitating a workshop at Tatamagouche Centre with Shani Mootoo! (Cereus Blooms at Night) How thrilling is that! But today she got here nice and early and we had espresso and chatted a bit and she set up next to me with her laptop and I got everything ready to go and then suddenly I realized - I need to read out loud! We tried me not doing it but then I did when she was out getting more java and she heard me and went - you gotta do this. So she moved into the living room and started reading her book out loud (we closed the connecting door!). So all good. Then we ate nice Trinidadian soup (thank you Shani) and sourdough bread. Walked the beast and now she is off home and I'm back plugging on through. Only a few more days. Must finish!
Those of you dear readers who read mysteries - do you try and figure them out or just let the story roll on through? And how do you feel about point of view - like a few or one or many or don't care?
I'll check in soon!

I love mysteries.......and usually just let the story alert me to the twists and turns - seems I never can exactly figure out WHO DID IT!

Hurry UP on: The Rock Walker - I can't wait to read it!

Good Job Jan!
