So why start another? Hmmm...
- When I do finish Bright Angel it will be gone for a month or two with my mentor. Instead of biting my nails I'd rather get another project on the go.
- I've been moderately successful with the challenge. I have one mystery that I think has some good bones but I need to go in and untangle a lot of it. But Bright Angel was easy peasy from the beginning and maybe now I get how to really go at these challenges.
- I like a challenge and I'm the teeniest bit bored right now. The NaNo is a big challenge. It is hard to make sure to write 1,667 words a day - especially when I'm busy at work - but I want to. I'm ready for it.
- Weirdly - just knowing I'm going to do this has kicked my butt to get this last revision done. Truly.
- And finally - who knows? I follow my inner demon.

I give you a lot of credit, Jan! You've got some good reasons to do NaNoWriMo, and as you say, it's a good kick in the behind to write. Wishing you much success and a long and fruitful conversation with your muse :-)
Good luck with NaNoWriMo, Jan! I'm doing it, but as a cheater...my book is already halfway done but I wanted to finish it quickly and thought I'd hop in.
Thanks gals, I'm off to a great start - already over five thousand words. Also been in touch with my mentor and we're moving on to the last stage with Bright Angel. Working on this new one will keep me from getting anxious as Gerard goes over B.A. Oh, and by the by especially for you two - the new one is a mystery. I didn't know until my protag's cell rang on the first page. I'm a true pantser.
Good luck to you! I have never dared. I do find myself giving an extra push in November though, while so many others are writing like crazy. Hope you reach the goal!
