Hello all beings! It is a grey old day ... March being reluctant when it comes to marching into april. I like that this month is a command! I will march into my life and to quote my dear ole Daddio 'Pitter Patter Fly Atter!'
Today on the first March Monday I will let you know that I'm taking part in the BuNoWriMo (Burrow Novel Writing Month) March Madness event - which is just another way for us writers to shake off the shoulda coulda woulda's and write.
My plan is simple - finish this next draft of Bright Angel so that it is ready for readers. I'm nearly there. Oh, I do have some folks who've read what I've done so far - my writing group and one other but I want it along enough to have non-writers reading it. I don't invite them in until it is pretty far along as they cannot fathom the leap from the first draft (telling myself the story) to the second (telling some other writers the story) and need that third or fourth or whatever draft where there might still be problems but it ain't a total dog's dinner.
Some of the folk over at the BuNo are starting new stories and racking up the word count. Some are editing and crossing off pages. I'm in between as I don't approach any book with a plan. Bright Angel was the result of the BuNo writing frenzy which actually happens not in November like the regular one but in June - much more sensible for some of us. I wrote 80 thousand words on it in June and July. It was great - those things don't always work for me but this one hit the sweet spot. Now it is down to 50 thousand words as I revise the heck out of it. It will probably even out at 65 or so. I think it is a YA but am never sure of those things.
A week tomorrow I'll be on my way to Cuba with the step-dot and the sweet patootie. I can't wait. I hope to have a hard copy of Bright Angel to edit on the beach and a copy for step-dot's ereader so she can give me some much needed young person notes.
How bout you all on this March day?

working on a new one, no plan except hitting a daily word count and seeing what happens, my favorite stage! Enjoy Cuba and that beach!
Jan - Oh, so good to hear you're working on Bright Angel. One of the things I think these special months can do is invite us to discipline ourselves to write. Good for you to take advantage of it.
You're doing great, Jan! And I am happy to read for you if you are looking...
Have a FANTASTIC time in Cuba!

I would not put it in the freezer for a long time, you cаn put іt in the frеezer
for a couple of hours but I woulԁ not ρut it in there for a
couple of weеks. All уou havе to do in order tο οbtain these сoupons is to go to the internеt
and sеarсh fоr the one that suіts уou nеeds
then just print them. Roll each portion intо the thicknesѕ of a broom handle.
