Day One - In House Retreat

this is a photo I took yesterday through a huge broken glass at the hospital!

Today:

9:30 - 11:30 - work on manuscript

11:30 - 1:00 - spring clean one room & have lunch

1:00 - 3:00 - work on manuscript

3:00 - walk dog

4:00- 6:00 - work on manuscript

I have nine chapters left to revise - I would like to finish them this weekend so I can spend Monday and Tuesday on the package.
I'll report later...

First Report - Only 3 Chapters to go! These last chapters are in better shape than the middle ones so I'm zooming through. yeehaw! I'm going to go visit a few more blogs for a break and then drive on through to the end!

Second Report - at 3 PM - finished manuscript and working on four-page synopsis. YIKES! Now must go walk poor old dog. done a bare minimum of cleaning as I'm too wrapped up in this. so there.

Sounds like a plan. I hope your plans work out better than my usually do.

On a side note, I saw the date for your post and I thought, hmm, this post must be from last Saturday, then it dawned on me that today was Saturday. Where did the week go?

Jan - You are so wise to do the in-house retreat thing. My friend, you are inspiring me. You really are.

Good for you! I just got my computer back so I'm hoping to get lots of writing time in soon! :)

Yay, Jan! I'm with you on this one! I'm in the last four chapters of revisions - and then drumming my fingers to hear back from my test readers. What a serendipitous photo! I love it!

Helen - I've lost weeks before too. It is most disconcerting!
Margot - they work so well! I can't imagine why I didn't do it before - I fully encourage you to go for it.
Carol - I like my schedule but only as I didn't follow it! I need it however, as I'm sure you get.
Jemi - that is what happened to me - the first retreat was done on my ANCIENT laptop and now I have my new computer which is way better.
Faith - yay! Isn't it fun zooming to the finish line? Only I think I've thought I've done that about six times with this novel so shouldn't get too chirpy...
Talli - ah yes, the wickedly hard synopsis. Now I have three whole days to do that and the rest of my query package. eeek.
