In which the moon prepares to shine as a blue moon this eve and Cindy is surprised to find herself fifty!
Here are my New Year's Revelations...er...recitations...no, uh...reverberations. No that's not it...uh...remonstrations...relaxations...repetitions
redecisions
refixations
let's get rid of the re.
Here are my New Year's Solutions!
1. Do two of these three things a day -
go for a walk in the woods,
sit (meditate) for half an hour
write a thousand words.
2. Keep on with low carb, no yeast diet.

3. Count blessings every day.

4. Lots of kissing and hugging.

5. Remember what is important.

6. Rest in uncertainty for that is all there is and it isn't really here either.

7. Stay connected to my friends and family.

8. Stop waiting in ambush.

9. Re-find my inner cowgirl and exercise her.

10. Practice the paramitas especially patience.

How about you all?

I like your resolutions!

My cats wait in ambush, too. :) Can we make *them* have a resolution?

I am working on being gluten-free. It's been going on three months and I'm doing good. My cowgirl, she's hiding out. Happy New Year!

I don't make resolutions, but I like your solutions - especially #4!

Happy New Year!

hello two Elizabeths and Jane!
update a few hours into the new year (waking part that is). I've written a thousand words and now my manly man and my doggily dog and I are going to High Head for a stroll before the storm hits. I think I may go three for three today and set up a shrine again in my room. I cleaned our bedroom and want to spiff the whole house. We've had a little of #4 but not enough. I've talked to my daughter-in-law, my dad and my step-ma so that is good. Patience - I struggle with that and I also have to figure out what I mean by exercising my inner cow-girl.

What a great list! It makes my list make me tired... And it seems to me if you succeed, you will be very happy this year, so I wish you the best!

You take the best pictures!

My goals are to write more fiction (as opposed to nonfiction) and to stay away from bushes where you may be lying in wait to am-bush me.

Hi Tartlett - no need to get tired - just think of them as more like suggestions - the way the Quebecois regard traffic rules! For instance - today it was supposed to snow for a short bit and then clear so Ron and I were going to take the beast to High Head - its been blizzarding all afternoon. Instead, I watched Grey Gardens - mostly by myself because Ron went upstairs and read. Fine with me - didn't think he'd like it. I LOVED it! Saw the original years ago - the documentary. My partners in Crime and I based a script for a murder mystery weekend on the characters of Big Edie and Little Edie. So, now I have to set up my shrine in my clean bedroom and sit for half an hour. The dog loses but we will get him out for a good long one tomorrow. The main thing is not to take a bad feeling. Do what you can. I had a glorious writing session so...
Helen! Thanks! I so long to ambush you! I would ambush you and bring you inside and talk your head off and give you green tea and ginger snaps or maybe vodka martinis and lobster rolls. Then we'd meet up with the two Elizabeths and Tartlett and go for a good long stroll by the sea! Wouldn't that be so divine?
