Christmas Dollies

for the next several days leading up to Christmas, I am going to post pictures of some of my dollies. Today I'm starting with one I bought for my granddaughter! So don't peek Hannah! I spent this afternoon looking on the net to find out what sort of dolly she is. I believe she is a Dee & Cee which is a Canadian company out of Dominion Company circa early 50's. I have a doll very much like her only caucasion with blonde hair. Rebeccah is a bit more worn with many baths and so on. Plus she got a new body about four years into her life as she had a stuffed rubber one that rotted! I'll take a pic of her next...

My mom's best friend's daughter had exactly the same dolly. She was quite a few years older than I was, and had promised to give me the doll when she was done with it. Never did :-(

But lovely to run into her again, and I am glad you got her for your granddaughter.

What a sweetie!

I have an old dolly named Peggy that now has no hair. But I still love her, and so does my daughter.

Hi Rayna - I'll stay on the lookout and if I find another I'll put your name on her!

Hi Elizabeth - Peggy - now that's a nice dolly name. "I once had a dear little doll, dears." a line from a childhood poem. I'll look for that too.

Jan, if you don't think your granddaughter would mind too much, can I share the dollie with her? I only need to know she is part mine!

Hi Cindy - so glad to see you back here!
and Rayna - of course! Consider yourself a co-parent of the dolly! Not sure of name yet - she'll have to choose.
