Once, many years ago, a person that I knew from Chester went on a long sailing voyage. He would send these letters home about his adventures. He was not a writer but the content was great as the adventures were great.
One of these missives told of the boat's mishaps on one stretch of the journey. They'd met a storm and fetched up on a shoal - all of which he described in perfect detail if not perfect grammar. At the bottom of the page of all these mishaps he wrote - 'and then the trouble started' which made the readers howl with laughter. At the end of this letter he wrote 'oh well, life go on.'
I know just how he felt. Not that I'm having mishaps but just rather a lot to do by certain deadlines and no help from SP as he is gone and Bella doesn't help though her heart is in the right place.
There are services to disconnect and addresses to be changed once again. There are boxes to pack and insurance companies to deal with. There are teenagers to motivate (those starting their own lives away that need to finish properly with this place) and lawns to mow. Gravel is supposed to be delivered. Am I to spread it on the driveway? By myself? There are shoes to be given away and books too. There are mittens to match and mail. And on and on and on.
Through it all - this very shitstorm of a voyage - life go on. It go on and on - dogs to walk, food to prepare, many sleeps and risings and bathings and workings to work.
How is your life going on? Maybe I'll take Bella to High Head for a stroll...

By all means take Bella for a walk. Breath deep and know it will still all be there, but it will get done. It just will.
I hear ya darlin' although Robert is taking care of the packing I have started my new job with a warm Calgary welcome of a 60 hour work week the first week...yee haw. We may have a house. Two offers were rejected by the sellers...can you imagine! Whew, land of opportunity and cash.
Love your blog! Love the scenery and have added Labrador to my bucket list.
Oh my, I hear you. The list gets crossed off one bitty item at a time. How good that feels....one stroke of a pen.

Oh, Jan, I know just what you mean. Step by slow step, and one hassle at a time. Walks with Bella sound like the perfect antidote, too. {{}}
I echo the sentiment, one step at a time, one day at a time. I had a wild spring and summer with all kinds of family health crises, and I told myself many times that "this too shall pass." Life go on, and to take a walk in that lovely place would be truly therapeutic.
onwards and onwards... bless you in this shit storm:)
It's surprising how overwhelming the details of our lives can sometimes get...I just learned that you are moving yet again, this time it sounds like it will be good for your creative soul. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure!
Shitstorms are a daily routine around here. And on a day of calming seas, it's boring...
