Update on bad things

I`m over at The Burrowers today, writing about writing about housework about writing- hop over and have a peek...

Last night`s update after terrible bad thing...
The Sweet Patootie found where the wicked virus had hidden all my files. I just backed up the whole shebang on a separate drive. Whew! What a torment.
The sun shone today - first day of sun all day for over a month!
I still didn`t feel swell but I felt better and I took the chicks outside for their first visit to the natural world. They cottoned on right off, finding worms and scratching for seeds. We stayed out for about twenty minutes and then I captured them up again and took them back to the brooder.
Here is a funny thing that chicks do, well so do hens but: one of them will find a treasure - a worm in the case I`m thinking of. Then the little gaffer runs amok like a mad thing, because it is scared that some other chick will take it from her. Only the other chicks don`t really notice but the chick with the worm doesn`t notice that they don`t and keeps running through the pile of them to find a place she can safely eat the unwieldly thing. Then the other chicks do notice and a chase is on.
Aren`t we all so funny about our thingiesÉ. Oh, I forgot, I lost question marks, this is now a french computer. I think I will run amok now.
By the by - just for you folks who like to know these things - I`m still in my pj`s. Yep. And I`m going to pick up the lad from his drama rehearsal and I`m going to wear them still.
Yes. I. Am.

Good for you! PJs rock.

That was such a vivid and funny story about the chicks. Loved it.

Little chicks are sooo funny! Reminds me of long ago days on my grandmother's farm..I've also had my computer suddenly decide to be French...it happens when one of my fingers slip and I inadvertently press two buttons at once, but I don't know which two...I think it goes back to normal if you re-start it, but it's been a while since it happened to me, so I can't really remember...watch, now that I've said that, it'll happen within the next few minutes!
Here's to spending all day in your pj's!!

Hope you're feeling better - just a flu bug?

And do stay in your pj's, you deserve some comfort.

Sorry to hear about your bad virus-y things. Send them away - fast.

Such a cute story about your chicks, though, to make up for it :)

Hurrah for the saved work. Whew! I'm really glad you didn't lose stuff.

And a second hurrah for leaving the house in PJs. I love that. Do it all the time :)

Glad you isolated the virus. And those little chicks aren't too bright, are they?
