Life Keeps on Apace

I'm back. I'm not all giddy and outrageous with it but my energy is returning. If it's OK with you all, I'll just mosey along the path at my own pace. For those of you who are mothers I'll be walking that walk down the hospital corridor that women employ who have recently given birth - triumphant but restrained. Our funny little gowns in their winsome colours of mint puke and sad ass banana, our hair strangely matted on one side, our hands clutching the maple railing while our feet, and indeed our legs, have suddenly become those of an elderly aunt's - all slow and tentative and pathetic. But we are moving. Like glaciers. Like bills for social justice in the House of Commons. Like cheques for a job we did last fall. Moving. Slow. But. Sure.

Thanks all of you for your tremendously kind words. I want you to know that every word was manna to my heart.

And here is a photo for you all...I'm back at my Kitty MacDonald book, the second, Earth Bound, set in Annapolis Royal. So here is a photo of that glorious place...

so I read that "ass banana" and thought... is that like "brown"?

sigh. I'm very tired. I think I'm walking at the pace of an ass banana right now... hmm. That's truly vile. I apologize.

Glad you're back & feeling somewhat better~ <3

Sending thoughts from far away in distance, but close in spirit. The shuffle sometimes returns to a spry leap quite unexpectedly, I hope it happens for you very soon.

I've been heartsick with our politics on all fronts from refugees to climate and on, and figure that all I can do is some good in my immediate sphere of influence, the rest is just too discouraging and I get so angry and then depressed with it all.

hugs. Sue

Glad you are feeling better. I have been feeling the drag myself. The A-Z, my son's wedding in two weeks, my grandson's christening, family gathering for stag parties one weekend and hens parties the next. Don't know whether I am coming or going. But the sun is shining today, and things always look brighter when the sun shines!

Now this is good news indeed. We all need a break from time to time. Many blessings to you, dear writing friend!

Welcome back! :-)

There's no need for giddy or outrageous, moseying with matted hair is interesting as well.

Thanks Yvonne - I need to get back to work(writing that is)
Karen - I will!
LTM - I like ass banana. I think...
Sue - yes, it is truly discouraging but then someone will do something good and right and the spirit will rise again.
Ann - not to be an Eeyore but it has really rained here for two weeks. I told the kids that they had to stay home this weekend to start work on the ark.

Thanks Stacy! We have been pals for quite awhile, eh?
K. C. - yep, the slow shuffle can be just fine...
