A number of thingys or thingies???

Hi Y'all!
Or
Greetings dear readers
My back is out. I don't know why backs are out instead of 'acting up' whatever that might mean. My back has gone shopping in New York and has no plans to be back at being a back until certain conditions are met.

A message from my back:

I will come back and behave if the following conditions are met:
1. No shovelling. Don't even think about it. You have a man and a son-like creature. You can make hot chocolate and move the car so they can get underneath it. That's it.
2. No going in a car either as the driver (very bad) or even as a passenger if it is really slippery out there because you keep clenching your muscles and it hurts me.
3. Express your anger freely on the spot - not your agression but your anger. As in "I'm angry with you, Air Canada, for causing me to sit on uncomfortable chairs for hours instead of just letting ALL of us know you had no intention of flying to X on this date.
4. More hot baths with lots of epsom salts and a glass of wine wouldn't hurt either.

That's it. The trouble is that it takes my back ages to get the telegram in which I agree to these terms. Ages.
Oh well.

Other news: tomorrow my drabble is up at the Burrow blog so head over there and check out the Valentine blog page to find it. And I think ...no I know ...that I also have the Burrow for Topical Tuesday tomorrow so you can read me twice!
In the real world, I plan on finishing my synopsis and the fix-up of my first 3 thousand words of The Rock Walker and getting it out to the Debut Dagger Contest. Cross your fingers for me unless you have your own book looking for the prize - I'd be ecstatic to be a finalist so even if you do - you could hope that for me.
Also - dear readers - you could go over and see all the pictures I loaded onto my Living the Complicated Simple Life blog yesterday. We had a nice walk around High Head and I took some pics. While you're there check out the posting one ahead of yesterdays on Lewis Carrol's birthday. It is weird but fun, I think. Or you could go to Dreaming With Rumi and see what I've been up to there. Oh and leave me a comment or so....

That's it! Tomorrow is writing with Gwen and then lying on the couch praying my back comes back from its extensive vacation.

Bad back--no good. I have a back that goes from mild nagging to fits of screeching, so I understand. Rest. Advil.

Feel better. I'm with Tricia. I go for Aleve though...and even better, Extra Strength Bufferin if you can find it. In truth though (knock wood), since I got a new mattress and put a memory foam layer on top of it, and sleep with a memory foam pillow, I haven't had a back ache. That's two years now and I had pretty cronic pain.

Your back needs to join the 21st century and get an email account.

Take care of yourself and feel better soon.

Urgh! Sorry about your back! I had to send mine out of the room, as it thought this NYC vacation looked good, but I can't afford to let it go--I need it here! Take care of yours and do what it says!

Sorry to hear it, Jan! Will keep you in my thoughts for a speedy back recovery. Winter is always full of surprises it seems. Take care of yourself. Sending sun! --Daisy @ www.sunnyroomstudio.com

Oh no! Well, I hope your back has a nice time shopping and brings you back something nice.

Bad backs are the worst. I find inventing new curse words helps to pass the time. Feel better quickly!

I hate suffering from a bad back. So I hope you get better soon. I hope your novel does well in ABNA.

My question is - - Do backs have a good time when they go out? My husband's goes out on him quite often. I tell him that at least it isn't me, his wife going out on him. He mock laughs and pinches me. Yes, I deserve it.

Hello all lovely ladies,
I don't know if they have a good time but I imagine they do otherwise they are just being plain mean and I can't think that of a body part though I am sorely vexed! Don't you love that expression 'sorely vexed'? I do. I got lots done on my submission (which is to Debut Dagger not ABNA - Clarissa) and it should be ready to shoot off tomorrow after the man has a good eagle eye at it. We are getting ANOTHER WEDNESDAY SNOW STORM and all my clients are now cancelled freeing me to write in the impoverished state I am getting used to. Argghh.

I have been superbusy the last few weeks and am still in the process of playing ketchup.

But from you I need to know one thing- how on earth do you keep track of where you are posting what?

Jan Morrison said...

Well my dear woman, it is easy. The only posts that are PROMISED are the ones to the Burrow and I put those dates in my datebook - without which I'd be lost...
And I generally compose (except for the burrow one) right in the posting box so...I know which is going where.
