some progress

I've been at it for hours. Stopping now and then to do something different. Getting some help from the man on moving the larger objects. The sun is starting to come out and it looks wonderful on the snow. Hoagy probably wants a walk and he might get a short one in a bit. I'm going to make tea and then go back at it. I don't feel too annoyed - in fact, I don't feel upset at all. Just slightly overwhelmed but I knew that would happen. The room is full of more than a mess. It is full of the thoughts, passions, and dearness of a girl I love. That's very clear.

You've got a GREAT attitude, Jan. I'm glad it's going so well.

hello again dear Elizabeths, I'm sure I did this last night! my site is playing games again...
I think I told you both that I was packing it in for the night and would finish this morning, that Ron and I watched Milk - a very good movie and had gone out for Pho - perfect meal on a snowy Sunday night without kids. Now it is tomorrow and I'm about to go up and finish sorting the pile still left in the middle of the floor. My technique has been to take a broom and just sweep the pile to the middle of the floor and keep sorting and cleaning the edges until there is nothing left but actual garbage. I have put bags of buddies down in the furnace room and will probably not sort too much this last bit. I'll put it in a bag - put it in the basement and if nothing is retrieved from it in a good long time - I will heave it! that's the plan anyway. I've put in a new table and taken out the rickety one and regained my beautiful trunk that she wasn't using...it looks good all the way around the edges. I've washed four or five loads of laundry and hung them up downstairs - still doing this part! I've cleaned out the closet so there is nothing in there but a few lonely pieces of clothes hanging and likewise cleaned out her incrediably neglected dresser. It awaits her clothes. humph. So off to do this and perhaps get some actual writing in. I could write something about young women and their ways...?
