In minutes I will be off to Liscombe Lodge. I'll pickup my best pal and we'll head down the road. We'll stop for groceries somewhere - I need to find some kind of snack I am allowed cuz these are BIG snacking weekends and I need to be fortified against temptation. We have the scripts, the players, the blood, the gun. Ah, what a job! I like this script - I think it is funny and look forward to seeing what all the actors make of it. I like my part - Ninette Beazley - Nose of the North. She is kind of a eccentric journalist. I've played her before. I dare say she is one of my alter egos. She's sort of asexual and a bit like Jane Hathaway - sensible, acerbic. Wait a minute! You don't know who Jane Hathaway is. Why she's the indomitable assistant to Drysdale down at the bank that my friends the Clampets use. She's a bit mad for Jethro and loves bird watching. I adore her. They're both pretty smart Ninette and Jane. Ninette is the ninth of twelve kids her parents had. Uno, Duxie, Treise, Quatro, Fiva, Six (!), Septimus, Octavia, Ninette, Dixie, Onzie and Fred. (Her mum put her foot down at the end.) Well gotta fly. Let you know how it all unfurls - a nosey journalist, an aging child star, a lonesome cowboy, an aussie bounty hunter, a biker chick, a hard nosed business woman and a patsy!

This sounds like so much fun! I hope you enjoy it! And good luck on the snack thing--been there. Oddly, I found dried cereal to have the crunch and munch that helped avoid some of those snacky things--Cheerios or Chex. Air popped popcorn used to be great, but somehow seems to have gone out of fashion. I know fruits and veggies are the holy grail, but you can only eat so much befor you feel psychologically disgruntled by them.

Doing murder nights are so much fun! Hope everyone has a great time; both acting in it and figuring it out. Break a leg!

Wow, a girl comes home beat from a weekend of laughing, hiding, acting, crying, staying up too late and eating well to find she has six responses. Ah, the murder mystery weekends - who can resist them! Of course you want to be the biker chick, grrrl! She was played by a newbie who happens to have a Masters in Costume Studies and she made a quick t-shirt to wear with the name of her character's company "Big Mama's Wild Ride". It had a fluffy chick of the peep peep kind on a harley! Her boyfriend was an Aussie (not - but he really wanted to be). The whole thing was fun as usual and even after 24 years of doing these weekends we love them! I didn't wear a wig Liz but I had a part I like. My friend Linda wore outrageous pink clothes all weekend. She looked demented. Will put it all on a Face Book site I'm creating. Thanks new folks for chiming in! I really really like it!

I was at the murder mystery event over the weekend and had a blast. All the characters were so much fun and the story was great, despite thinking it was the biker chick who did it!
