transitions...

Do you do well with transitions? People talk a lot about it and never, it would appear, favourably but are we not always and forever in a state of transition? It just seems that at some times they are more obvious (birth, sickness, getting or leaving a job, dying, moving) yet we are always in flux. The discernable world, relative existance, row row row your boat gently down the stream stuff always in the fore with the absolute world, the non-exitant non-reality shimmers at the edges of our awareness. So here's to the awkwardness of transiting one stage to the next - the non-virtual dharma of the bardo where we are all in immanence and none of us quite there yet - the flavour, the smell the feel all on the tip of our tongues! Hurrah for no closure and no possiblilty of closure - for no order and no possiblilty of order - for no agenda and no....what was I saying?

This is all to say that when I was churning out one thousand words a day I felt quite happy - complete really and now that I haven't started the revision process due to something or other but am sitting here with bits & bobs - hey Bits, hey Bob! - I feel restless dear Readers. Restless in a most unpleasant way. I shall clean my desk. Good idea wha?

The spur of transition, yes, but don't forget you set yourself a goal and accomplished it. So maybe you've got a little energy left in the furnace to burn, but you've also got the bright halo of that accomplishment at your back! I say breathe in, get out of your office, walk the beach, let the wind scour you clean, this is the blessed time of in-between and the horizon is wide with possibility!!

hi dear Sue! Yep - you've got that right. Actually I started playing with some images - mindmapping and drawing the chapters as locations - like story boarding and then I stopped being restless. Also out of the soup came two plot points that I was struggling with.
so good. Not while I was at my desk but in bed and in the car...
