market, runaway, googly eyes - all one taste

Step-dot and I went to the market today and we each took our cameras and some googly eyes. When we escape to the market on Saturday mornings it is like an island of love and peace in a warring world. We have so much fun and our love splashes off each other and makes everything around us golden. Well it does!!!! Ask those who see us at the market...like Cindy.

And here is M. Croissant...

and now for something completely different.... some very sweet buskers. I REALLY want to learn to play the accordion. I do. So if you all want to get me a mother's day present or a very late birthday present or I know - Milarepa Day is coming up - in fact - gal-darn it, dog-nab it - it is TODAY - and I forgot. rats.

Speaking of dog nab it - Hoagy has done a runner. Last night sweet-patootie, step-son, his pal and I were all watching one of later early Star Wars (I get so sick of saying that) and I lurched and said "where's the dog?" and Hoagy raised his head from his cushion on the floor and step-son said "what the?" . I said to step-son "what you need to know is that under every thought I have is 'where's the dog' - I live in constant fear of the dog getting away and running amuck." So today when Step Dot and I were happily, ignorantly having fun at the market - the lad and his pal took Hoagy for a walk and "well I was just handing the leash to Colin with the tips of my fingers and he bolted." Try to imagine my already stretched to the freakin' limit patience with the lad and he makes that statement. I actually don't want to see him - either of them - the dog or the lad until August. And maybe not even. Harsh I know but now I'll be up all night and Hoagy will come by and do his little "ner ninna ner ner" dance on the road near the house.

On the other hand - I chose a Lojong card and it said "Don't Wallow in Self-Pity" so I'll stop now. He'll come back. The lad will go to his mother's for two weeks with his sister. I'll miss them after a bit and so on...

Time for a picture - look these market angels - don't you want that loverly hat? I do - warm and yet able to support a poof of tuille - market fashions always rock!

beautiful golden light in the hall where we get chinese food all..so nice.

and Paige having fun with a glorious fisher price movie machine from the sixties...

Thank you for commenting on my blog... and I thank you for your opinion... I believe immigration is like a political view that there are points to be said that are on different sides. In just this community that we live in, there are people that are not from our country getting help from our government and are put to the front of the line, and then there are us that are left at the back of the line, getting help if there is some left to give. It is a controversy, and will continue to be, however we are not allowed to state our opinions in "letter to the editor" as those on the opposing side are.
