Huzzah!

After working on the revision when I could this last week I spent most of the weekend on it.  I finished at 5 30 and had a nice meal with the fella and my pal, Robin. After dinner I did my Buddhist practice and then sent the last bit of the novel to my mentor. When I hear back from him and make any changes to the ending deemed necessary,   I'll assemble my query package. My mentor is guiding me on where to send it. I'm really excited. Really excited.
This is one of my grandsons showing you how I feel.

Oh, I am happy for you, Jan! Isn't that a great feeling! Thinking of you...

Thanks you two! It is a great feeling. Gerard has been my mentor since I met him at a writing workshop in Newfoundland - Piper's Frith, a year and four months ago. He agreed then that he would take me on (I was very bold and asked him). He writes himself and teaches in New Brunswick (and online for Memorial University in Nfld.) So, he was really busy but we worked it out - he'd look at what I'd done and then send it back and I'd beaver away at it. My intuition was right on as he turned out to be just the right sort of mentor for me.

Wonderful news! Look forward to hearing about the query process. Here's hoping is is short and sweet!

How exciting! Many congratulations, and much, much success with this manuscript. My first book was published last August, and I can't begin to explain the... absolute joy of holding it in my hand :) I wish that for you soonest — and I'll be looking forward to hearing about it when it happens.

I came over from the A-to-Z Challenge, but I'm not sure if you're still participating (couldn't find the badge anywhere on your site). Will check back later in case I'm wrong ;)
